Yanchep’s new $17 million school set to open next year finally has a name.
State-of-the-art Yanchep Rise Primary School will be Yanchep’s third primary school for the rapidly growing population and will accommodate up to 430 students from kindergarten to Year 6.
The new campus will include an early childhood teaching block and three general classroom blocks, including a specialised art and science room. Students will also have a covered assembly area with a canteen and music room, a library resource centre, staff room, conference room and administration building and hard courts.
Jones and Co Director Kelly Jones said the new school was a vital cog in the wheel required to service residents in the rapidly developing suburb.
The official title came about after State Government consultation with the local community.
Education and Training Minister Sue Ellery said the name meant staff and students could now start designing uniforms, logo and school colours.
The school will be located on Sunningdale Road.
